Weatherford has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager - Global Leadership Development based in Houston, TX. This role serves as the enterprise leader for building leadership capability across all levels-from frontline supervisors to executives.

The role is responsible for shaping and executing a global leadership development strategy aligned to business priorities, with a strong emphasis on measurable impact. The ideal candidate brings strategic vision, strong execution discipline, and the ability to lead with credibility, influence senior stakeholders, and manage a global team of learning professionals.

Location: Houston, TX (On-site, up to 20% travel)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in leadership development, L&D, or talent management, including 8+ years leading teams.

  • Proven ability to design, deliver, and scale leadership programs across all levels.

  • Experience building leadership frameworks and development ecosystems in dynamic or transforming organizations.

  • Strong enterprise leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills in matrixed environments.

  • Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.

  • Experience managing vendors, coaches, and external partners.

  • Strong facilitation and executive communication skills.

  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technologies.

Preferred

  • Certifications in coaching, facilitation, or assessments (e.g., ICF, Hogan, DISC, DDI, FranklinCovey, Berkman).

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Development Strategy & Execution

  • Define and lead a comprehensive leadership development strategy aligned to enterprise priorities and competency frameworks.

  • Design and scale programs across all leadership levels (emerging, frontline, mid-level, and senior leaders), grounded in operational and technology environments.

  • Develop targeted programs for high-potential talent to accelerate readiness and succession.

  • Continuously evolve offerings based on business needs, leadership trends, AI/digital advancements, and learner feedback.

Leadership Framework & Infrastructure

  • Own and maintain the enterprise leadership competency framework.

  • Build scalable development infrastructure, including learning pathways, program design, and supporting tools.

  • Integrate modern learning approaches (blended, experiential, cohort-based) and leverage technology (AI, simulations, digital coaching) to enhance learning at scale.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders, HRBPs, and COEs to identify capability gaps and align development initiatives with business priorities.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning and leadership growth.

  • Ensure alignment of development efforts with succession planning and enterprise talent strategy.

Vendor & Partnership Management

  • Select and manage external partners to extend internal capabilities, ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with Weatherford's culture.

  • Oversee contracting, integration, and performance of all external learning solutions.

Facilitation & Delivery

  • Facilitate senior-level programs, workshops, and leadership sessions with strong executive presence.

  • Lead and develop a global learning team to deliver consistent, high-impact programs.

  • Build internal facilitation capability and provide leadership coaching as needed.

Measurement & Impact

  • Establish and track metrics to assess effectiveness, adoption, and business impact of programs.

  • Translate insights into actionable improvements and demonstrate ROI to senior stakeholders.
