Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate, or an accounting professional with up to two years of experience, looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 0-2 years of accounting experience (internship experience welcomed) Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or QuickBooks is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills CPA eligibility or plans to pursue a CPA are a plus Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $24-$26/hour Temp-to-perm opportunity Hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday onsite, Thursday-Friday remote New York, NY
