Your Impact
As an Accounting Intern, you will support the integrity and accuracy of Accelevation’s financial information by assisting with transaction processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support activities. You will gain hands-on experience with accounting operations, financial controls, and month-end close processes while contributing meaningful work that supports the organization’s financial success.

Internship Overview
An internship at Accelevation is not a summer of shadowing and busy work. We design, manufacture, and install the critical infrastructure that powers some of the world's most advanced technologies. As an intern, you will work alongside industry experts on meaningful projects with real deadlines, real responsibilities, and real impact.
You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing leaders, and project managers who are solving complex challenges and shaping the future of critical infrastructure. From our manufacturing center in Southwest Ohio to the mission-critical environments behind many of the world's largest data centers, you will gain firsthand exposure to how innovative ideas become reality.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support administration of the company’s travel and expense reporting system, including reviewing reports for policy compliance and assisting employees with submissions
  • Research and escalate expense report discrepancies when necessary
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Assist with journal entry preparation and processing
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities within established deadlines
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested
  • Review and update recurring journal entries as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
  • Assist in documenting accounting procedures, internal controls, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and other assigned duties
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or recently graduated
  • Exposure to accounting coursework and basic understanding of U.S. GAAP preferred
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee, customer, and financial information
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Basic analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Eagerness to learn accounting processes, systems, and best practices

Physical Demands and Work Environment
