Sr. Manager of BlackLine Accounting Transformation

Position Summary

We're currently looking for a Sr. Manager of BlackLine Accounting Transformation to join our team in Nashville, TN. The Senior Manager, BlackLine will lead the strategy, governance, optimization, and expansion of the BlackLine platform across North and South America for a ~$16B multinational organization. This role is responsible for driving finance transformation through automation, standardization, and enhanced user engagement across key accounting processes. The current BlackLine footprint includes Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries, and Task Management, with limited integration and connectivity. This leader will identify opportunities to increase adoption, improve workflows, enhance inter-module connectivity, and expand automation capabilities, positioning BlackLine as a core pillar of the organization's Record-to-Report (R2R) digital strategy. *** This role is a HYBRID position in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. ***

Responsibilities

Platform Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the regional BlackLine roadmap aligned with global finance transformation objectives.
  • Serve as the functional and governance leader for BlackLine modules across the Americas.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners, Controllership, IT, and Shared Services.
  • Drive standardization while balancing regional requirements

Optimization & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to increase automation across reconciliations and close processes.
  • Improve interconnectivity between modules.
  • Enhance ERP integration and data flows.
  • Implement auto-certification, risk-based strategies, and advanced features.

User Engagement & Change Management

  • Increase user adoption across regions.
  • Lead change management and training initiatives.
  • Develop super-user networks and engagement strategies.

Governance & Controls

  • Ensure alignment with SOX and internal controls.
  • Establish policies for reconciliations and approvals.
  • Maintain audit readiness and data integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Audit teams.
  • Act as liaison between technical and functional stakeholders.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Track KPIs such as completion rates, automation levels, and close cycle time.
  • Deliver executive reporting on transformation progress
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 812+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance transformation.
  • 4+ years of BlackLine experience (Account Recs, JEs, Tasks).
  • Experience in large multinational organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Record-to-Report processes.
