Job description

DESCRIPTION: Direct the Financial affairs of the company and prepares financial analyses of operation, including interim and financial statements with supporting schedules (Profit & Loss/ Cash Flow Statements mainly), for the guidance of management. Maintain the company's system of financial and keeps books and records on all company financial transactions. Responsible for the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts in Finance, instruct and coordinate other planning and control procedures and analyzes and reports variances proactively for management decisions and recommendations. Direct the activities of the FP&A, Plant Controllers and Cost Accounting and is responsible for insuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the staff according to compliance policies & standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise FP&A function and Plant Controllers
  • Oversee the Cost Control group for monthly cost, price and consumptions variances. Oversight of Standard and Current costing, Inventory variations and BoM evaluations.
  • Develop, analyze and interpret statistical and financial information in order to appraise operation results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters.
  • Establish financial policies for the company and prepare reports which outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future obligations.
  • Responsible for financial planning, forecasting, results and compliance with the Federal, State, and local company, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
  • Responsible for the company's financial plans and policies and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Consultant for accounting staff in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management.
  • Coordinate & supervise maintenance of records for all related source documents pertaining to product cost, burden rates, etc. and collaborate with Finance in KNA & Japan
  • Work closely with other departments or individuals on problems involving financial planning & analysis, as well payments.
  • Provide the organization with the appropriate financial and operating information necessary to facilitate company and department planning and results measurement.
  • Collaborate on completion of external audits, as well support internal audits.
  • Work collaboratively with legal counsel to review agreements, and other matters related to profit and loss management.
  • Work directly with staff at company headquarters office in Japan.
  • Participate in ongoing performance management including but not limited to evaluations, recommendations of wage increases and necessary corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, required.
  • Advanced degree - either an MBA or CPA, preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least ten years of experience in accounting.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of computer based operations and associated programs.

SKILLS:
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and systems.
  • Must possess above average math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

OTHER:
  • Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
