SUMMARY
The Investor Finance & Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting investor accounting, capital activity management, investor reporting, and joint venture financial operations across the Company's investment platform. This position prepares and maintains investor capital accounts, partnership allocations, investment performance reporting, and financial reporting deliverables while supporting investment entity accounting, month-end close activities, and major capital transactions. The role partners with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with governing agreements, and effective administration of investor and investment-related financial information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Investor Capital Management & Reporting
  • Manage quarterly investor distribution processes, including distribution calculations, allocation schedules, supporting workpapers, review packages, investor communications, and related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and maintain investor capital accounts, ownership schedules, capital call notices, contribution tracking, funding schedules, and related investor activity records.
  • Support preferred return calculations, partnership allocations, promote structures, waterfall calculations, and investment return analyses.
  • Prepare recurring investor reporting packages, capital account statements, vehicle summaries, and quarterly and annual investor reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare investment performance reporting, including IRR, DPI, equity multiples, and other investor-facing performance metrics.

Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and record accounting entries related to investor capital activity, distributions, allocations, and investment entities.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities for investment and joint venture entities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analyze investment-related transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances associated with cash activity and intercompany transactions.
  • Support general ledger activities, fair value accounting adjustments, financial statement preparation, and recurring accounting processes.

Joint Venture & Capital Partner Support
  • Support institutional investors, joint venture partners, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders with reporting requests, due diligence activities, and information requests.
  • Coordinate with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Capital Formation, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting teams to ensure consistency across investor and financial reporting.
  • Support recapitalizations, refinancings, dispositions, acquisitions, and other significant capital events.
  • Assist with loan covenant reporting, lender compliance requirements, and transaction-related reporting activities.

Process Improvement & Systems Administration
  • Document workflows and maintain operating procedures that support consistency, transparency, and scalability.
  • Maintain reporting schedules, performance models, liquidity analyses, cash flow forecasts, and capital planning tools.
  • Reconcile information across accounting systems, treasury systems, investment management systems, and investor reporting packages.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting efficiency, data quality, and workflow effectiveness.
  • Support investment management systems administration, including investor and ownership record maintenance.
  • Maintain proficiency within the Company's investment management software platform and related reporting tools.

Compliance & Special Projects
  • Support annual audits, investor audits, tax reporting processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide backup support for investor-related treasury activities in accordance with established internal controls and authorization procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years in investor finance, fund accounting, portfolio finance, or related financial roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, finance, real estate investment structures, joint venture economics, and investor reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of partnership allocations, capital accounts, preferred returns, waterfalls, promote structures, and investment performance metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, audit-ready work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with investors and senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated process-improvement mindset and commitment to enhancing scalability and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with investment management platforms such as Yardi Investment Management, Juniper Square, Investran, MRI Investment Management, or similar systems preferred.
