Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a part-time Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper to support a private school in Durham. The Accounting Specialist will need to understand accounting, can identify issues, and can eventually operate with limited handholding. The school has a small staff and needs someone dependable, detail-oriented, and professional. Responsibilities Accounts payable Accounts receivable Bank reconciliations General ledger work Student billing Supporting the Finance Director with accounting processes and system cleanup There is not a heavy volume of payables. Student billing is a major part of the role. Requirements Strong accounting/bookkeeping experience QuickBooks experience Ability to understand accounting beyond basic data entry Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently after training Comfortable with AP, AR, bank reconciliations, GL work, and billing Nice-to-Haves Independent school, private school, nonprofit, or small business accounting experience Google Suite experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
