Job description

Job Posting: Accounting Associate

Hourly Rate: $20-$25/hour

Reports to: Corporate Controllers

Location: Woodridge, IL

With over 60 years of experience, AMS has grown from a small refrigeration contractor into a multi-discipline, multi-market MEP contractor with more than 1,000 employees. Located in our Woodridge, IL facility and reporting to the Corporate Controllers, the Accounting Associate will handle a broad range of accounting duties, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our financial processes.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts receivable by process and record incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with accounts payable function including the coding and data entry of invoices.
  • Set up jobs accurately in our ERP system.
  • Function as a liaison between accounting personnel and others within the organization.
  • Other duties and responsibilities reasonable and consistent with the position as may be assigned to you.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, Associates degree or equivalent experienec.
  • A positive disposition with an ability to work in teams.
  • An eagerness to learn and grow in the position.
  • Self-motivation with a desire to assume more responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Must have above-average proofreading skills and have a history of being accurate and thorough.
