Pratt and Whitney has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Specialist, International Aero Engines AG. The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.

What You Will Do:

The International Aero Engines (IAE) AG accounting organization is looking for a motivated Accounting & Controllership Specialist. Our position will provide financial reporting, accounting, and analytical support for the IAE AG organization. This accounting organization is responsible for managing a complete and accurate monthly closing (STAT and GAAP) within prescribed timeframes, and for consolidating the financial results of all its entities and submitting those results to the Collaborators, including Pratt & Whitney.

Departments Interacted with and key customers:

Exposure to Pratt & Whitney Controllers organization, external auditors, internal auditors, and Collaborators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monthly closing including, but not limited to analysis and journal entry posting and ensuring the ledger, SAP/HFM, are accurate and reconciled timely.
  • Manage inventory details, transactions and related accounting.
  • Provide support and financial data to Pratt & Whitney’s sub-collaborators.
  • Collaborating with the engine leasing group to maintain and manage the fixed assets ledger for assets worth over $100M+.
  • Collaborating with various groups within the organization to analyze financial data for best practices for financials.
  • Coordinate additional year-end and quarterly reporting requirements on-time and accurately for Pratt including variance analysis.
  • Take a proactive role in supporting special projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Strong data analytics skills and interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals and/or team at all levels.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Adept using the following business Systems: SAP, OneStream, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and must be able to work with all levels of employees and management.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
