We're looking for a detail-driven Accounting Associate (full-charge bookkeeper) who thrives on accuracy and efficiency to join our growing team.


Role Overview

The Accounting Associate will function as a full-charge bookkeeper, managing the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of client associations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely bank reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, accuracy, and collaborative problem-solving, and who is comfortable working with property management software in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.


Key Responsibilities:

•       Prepare and reconcile bank statements across multiple client accounts

•       Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records

•       Prepare budgets and monitor expenses in accordance with approved budgets

•       Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

•       Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

•       Utilize Yardi software for day-to-day accounting operations and reporting

•       Prepare financial reports and support board and audit inquiries

•       Attend occasional evening board meetings to present financial reports and respond to board questions, as needed


Ideal Qualifications

•    5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience

•       Proven experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting

•       Proficiency in Yardi, QuickBooks, and/or Excel

•       Familiarity with budgeting and general ledger management

•       Strong computer proficiency (required)

•       High attention to detail and organizational skills

•       Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

•       Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

•       Availability for occasional evening board meetings
