Job description

Fenton Family Dealership is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dynamic accounting team. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions within our fast-paced dealership environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities may include: Assisting with accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, financial records and reporting, deal processing, coordinating accounting matters with other departments and budget preparation/analysis.

Compliance & Support: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, assist with budget preparation, and support annual audits as needed.


Qualifications


Experience: Proven experience in an accounting role is required. Previous automotive dealership accounting experience (e.g., using ADP, CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds DMS) is preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.

Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), general ledger software, and comfortable learning new dealership management systems.

Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and a high degree of accuracy.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused and professional demeanor.

Requirements: A valid driver's license and the ability to pass pre-employment testing
