A Day in the Life
A typical day in the life as a Private Client Solutions Senior Accounting Specialist in Reno, NV might include the following:
  • Collaborates within a specialized team to deliver comprehensive accounting services for multi-generational client needs.
  • Oversees and reviews work of Associates, providing guidance and maintaining quality standards across all deliverables.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, responding promptly to inquiries and offering proactive solutions to meet evolving family office needs.
  • Manages day-to-day accounting operations for clients, functioning as an extension of their internal accounting department.
  • Collaborates with internal tax experts to deliver customized solutions to clients.
  • Leverages secure technology solutions to maintain real-time accurate accounting records.
  • Performs and review bank reconciliations.
  • Prepares and supervises month-end closings, including journal entries and detailed GL account analysis, supporting Managers/Partners during the closing process.
  • Reviews reports and filings, such as sales tax reports, year-end tax forms, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Provides Manager/Partner with analysis of accounting data to support high-level advisory services for family enterprises.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
  • Coordinates activities to meet client deadlines.
  • Trains and mentors new team members, delegating tasks based on experience and availability while fostering professional growth.
  • Participates in business development initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to the client, reinforcing trust and continuity across generations.
  • Partners with leadership to execute client-directed special projects, delivering high-touch, personalized service that extends beyond traditional accounting for multi-generational family needs.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Experience with multi-generational families or family office preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and integrity for complex, multi-generational family structures.
  • Strong commitment to client satisfaction and drive to deliver exceptional service in every interaction.
  • Ability to think innovatively to incorporate technology solutions and streamlined processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • Relationship building expertise, fostering long-term partnerships with clients and colleagues while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to family dynamics.
  • High proficiency in technology and accounting platforms, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), QuickBooks, and other specialized software.
