The Accounting Associate supports the Business Services Department by maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative and accounting support for a variety of stakeholder groups. This role plays an important part in ensuring the integrity of financial information while delivering exceptional service to residents, families, vendors, and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate Whitney Center's values by treating residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with respect, kindness, and professionalism. Take ownership of their work, build meaningful relationships with residents, provide exceptional service, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, remain flexible with schedule and assignments, and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.

Requirements
  • Sort and distribute incoming departmental mail
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory
  • Update and maintain the operating check register using Microsoft Excel
  • Assist with resident admissions
  • Manage corporate credit card platform
  • Coordinate across departments on inventory management
  • Support monthly resident billing activities
  • Prepare monthly long-term care insurance documentation for submission
  • Post cash receipts to accounts receivable accounts
  • Maintain resident files in both physical and electronic formats
  • Maintain and organize vendor files
