Position: Audit Intern
Location: Cleveland or Akron, OH
Duration: January – April 2027
Compensation: Paid Internship


About the Role

As an Audit Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside our Assurance team. You’ll participate in a variety of audit engagements, developing your skills in identifying discrepancies, trends, and risks in financial reporting, participating in field work, and client service. This internship is designed to provide real-word exposure to public accounting and prepare you for a successful career in the field.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the execution of audit procedures for a variety of clients and industries
  • Perform substantive testing of account balances and transactions
  • Support the preparation of workpapers and audit documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements
  • Participate in team meetings and client communications
  • Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork and relationship-building
  • Gain exposure to various accounting systems and internal control environments
  • Collaborate with staff and senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
  • Take part in training and learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of audit processes

Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting
  • Progress towards CPA eligibility
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-oriented environment
