What You'll Do
As an Accounting Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization by ensuring payroll, invoicing, and accounting processes are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities include:
  • Process weekly payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Review and resolve missing or inaccurate timecard information
  • Process payroll deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and employee changes
  • Respond to payroll questions and employment verification requests
  • Process weekly customer invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Apply daily cash receipts and research unapplied payments
  • Assist with customer collections on outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile staffing vendor invoices
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate financial records
  • Protect confidential payroll and financial information
  • Support the Finance Department with additional accounting projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or enrollment in an accounting program preferred
  • One to two years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related office experience preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
