Job description

SumBridge is hiring an Accountant to join our consulting team for a long-term project based role with our manufacturing client. This is a 3-5 month contract with possibility of extension. This role is onsite in the greater Puyallup area and offers competitive compensation and benefits including healthcare and PTO.
Job Responsibilities:
โ€ข Preparing and managing general ledger entries.
โ€ข Reconciling financial statements.
โ€ข Entering financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.
โ€ข Reviewing cash deposits and preparing cash receipt journal entries.
โ€ข Recording monthly and annual processes.
โ€ข Posting journal entries in the accounting system.
โ€ข Tracking fixed asset ledger.
โ€ข Preparing balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
โ€ข Collaborating with various departments such as Sales, customers, and 3rd party vendors.
โ€ข Assisting the team with accounting issues and queries.
โ€ข Adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
โ€ข Staying updated with the best practices in accounting.
Requirements:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field.
โ€ข 3+ years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or a similar role in a Corporate Accounting department.
โ€ข Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
