We pride ourselves on our professionalism, integrity, and client-centered approach. We are currently seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued growth. Public Accounting Experience is required. CPA licensure is preferred.
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will assist with a variety of accounting and tax-related tasks, including preparing financial statements, tax returns, and audit workpapers. This position offers hands-on experience in multiple areas of public accounting, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
- Assist in audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
- Research and apply current tax laws and accounting standards
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather financial information and resolve issues
- Support senior accountants and partners with special projects as needed
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred (or intent to pursue CPA certification)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting (internship experience may be considered)
- Understanding of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software (QuickBooks, Proseries, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
