Phillips, Currin & Company, CPA's, LLC is a reputable public accounting firm providing high-quality tax, audit, and advisory services to individuals and businesses. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, integrity, and client-centered approach. We are currently seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued growth. Public Accounting Experience is required. CPA licensure is preferred. 

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will assist with a variety of accounting and tax-related tasks, including preparing financial statements, tax returns, and audit workpapers. This position offers hands-on experience in multiple areas of public accounting, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
  • Assist in audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
  • Research and apply current tax laws and accounting standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather financial information and resolve issues
  • Support senior accountants and partners with special projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred (or intent to pursue CPA certification)
