Atouts

Staff Accountant — Reconciliations & Month-End Close
Jeux Face à Face Inc. (Face to Face Games) — Montréal, QC
Reports to: Controller

About the role
Face to Face Games is a Montréal-based trading card game retailer and events company operating across a Canadian entity and a Dutch subsidiary. We're looking for a detail-driven accountant to own account reconciliations and support a fast, accurate month-end close across both entities. You'll sit within the accounting team, working closely with the Controller, primarily in NetSuite.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations (bank, credit card, clearing, prepaid, accruals, intercompany) and investigate and resolve reconciling items.
  • Support the month-end close: post journal entries, review sub-ledger activity, assist with accruals and cut-off, and hit close deadlines.
  • Reconcile multi-currency and multi-entity activity, including intercompany balances between the Canadian and Dutch entities.
  • Support inventory and cost-of-goods reconciliations tied to retail and events operations.
  • Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and contribute to process documentation and SOPs.
  • Support audit prep, tax filings, and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • DEC in accounting (or DEP/AEC with relevant experience), or a bachelor's in accounting/finance.
  • 2+ years in a similar accounting role, including reconciliation and month-end work.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) required — the role communicates regularly with stakeholders outside Quebec.
  • Functional French for the Montréal work environment.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets).
  • Comfortable in an ERP environment; NetSuite experience a strong asset.
  • Organized, accurate, and able to meet recurring deadlines independently.

Nice to have

  • Multi-entity / multi-currency accounting experience.
  • Retail, inventory, or events-industry background.
  • CPA designation or candidate working toward it.
