Job Description

The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting is vital member of the CBB accounting team, collaborating closely with the cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, this role will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety aspect of corporate accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist in enhancing the monthly close, ensuring control compliance, and the internal reporting processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze journal entries and supporting files to ensure accurate financial records for cash, prepaids, payroll, debt, inter-company, accruals, fixed assts, and leases.
  • Perform regular reconciliations identifying and resolving discrepancies within the accounting records.
  • Analyze large sets of data to support payroll and benefits transactions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross function teams and other Corporate Accounting team members.
  • Provide financial analysis of key metrics, including timely issuance of accurate reports to internal customers.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, including public accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Oracle R12, OneStream / Hyperion, and other reporting tools
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • CPA is highly preferred.
