JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Regional Category Manager will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing merchandising strategies across multiple categories. This role will leverage advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions to maximize profitability and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Category Optimization: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions, maximizing profitability and achieving sales targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple categories, identify variances, and conduct root cause analysis to inform corrective actions and improve overall performance.
  • Reporting & Insights: Develop and deliver insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior management.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage data-driven projects, including the development and implementation of new analytical models and the integration of new data sources.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with merchandising managers, sales teams, and other cross-functional teams to share insights, support decision-making, and drive successful business outcomes.
  • Industry Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and category management.
  • Industry Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry associations.
