Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $42,900.00 - $71,500.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to % or $ $14,000.00, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details
The Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within an assigned customer portfolio, by executing Grainger's value proposition through a consultative sales approach. This role develops and maintains long-term customer relationships, identifies growth opportunities, and leverages internal and external resources to deliver customer solutions, operational excellence, and business results. The Account Manager owns the overall customer relationship, sales performance, and account strategy for their territory.


You Will
    • Develop and expand relationships across all levels within assigned accounts, effectively selling Grainger's products, services, and value-added solutions.
    • Maintain a disciplined call plan, dedicating approximately 80% of time in the field and 20% to administrative activities.
    • Owns and consistently delivers against sales, margin, and growth targets for assigned accounts.
    • Drive profitable growth by identifying account potential, prioritizing opportunities, and developing and executing structured account plans using tools such as Reports and Strategic Selling Plans.
    • Manage and track pipeline, activities, and performance using CRM and other sales enablement tools.
    • Identify, engage, and leverage internal and external resources (e.g., specialists, suppliers) to maximize opportunities, remove barriers, and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Expand adoption of Grainger value-added solutions (e.g., eCommerce, inventory management programs) to increase customer stickiness and share of wallet.
    • Maintain full ownership of the customer relationship, including issue resolution, escalation, and overall account health.
    • Identify, engage, and leverage internal and external resources (e.g., specialists, suppliers) to maximize opportunities, remove barriers, and ensure customer satisfaction.

You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years 3-5 years of successful B2B sales experience (MRO, industrial, safety, or distribution preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management tools.
  • Fluent bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish), both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work independently with high energy, accountability, and results orientation.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, relationship management and influencing skills across multiple customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate value proposition, total cost of ownership (TCO) and business impact to customers.
  • Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels and negotiate contracts as needed, with leadership support.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to adapt, learn quickly, and respond effectively to changing business needs.
  • Possess the technological capabilities and understanding to communicate in today's business environment
  • Valid Puerto Rico driver's license, reliable transportation and insurance required. Upon Hire required
  • Role requires approximately 80% field-based work and 20% administrative responsibilities, supporting operations across the northern territory of Puerto Rico.
