Job Summary:
  • As a Maintenance Associate (2nd Shift), you will generally report to an Operations Coach but may receive maintenance assignments from management staff or lead personnel. You will maintain cooperative relationship with all team members and may be required to perform duties outside of the normal work routine.

Additional Info:
  • This role is located in Champaign, IL and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

What You Will Do:
  • Maintaining and performing preventative maintenance
  • Performs a wide variety of maintenance activities including but not limited to the repair and replacement of baggers, banders, saws and other warehouse-related machinery
  • Performs air compressor repairs, works with local fork truck dealers to assist with repairs on all warehouse vehicles and is responsible for battery changing and maintenance
  • Replaces electrical fixtures and bulbs, initiates repairs to overhead vendors/suppliers for repairs to facility equipment requiring special tools or expertise
  • Compares cost of maintenance services and works with lowest cost service provider
  • Inspects water control valves and fire extinguishers on a regular basis and other related facility alarm systems
  • Builds crates, boxes, pallets, benches, etc. as required for the facility or to meet client needs. Paints racks, bins, columns, floor striping, walls, etc. as needed

What You Have (Required Skills):
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents, blueprints and/or instructions
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance and a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and minor electrical repair
  • Will be expected to attend specialized maintenance training as required and possess needed certification to meet with federal and/or state requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work overtime and irregular shifts as needed

Summary Pay Range:
