Director- Account Development

(Farmer role)

This role will be part of our Commercial Sales Team. Selling and winning dedicated, intermodal, OTR and brokerage opportunities.  You will interface with our operating teams to ensure we have a clear vision of the needs of our network and uncovering opportunities to grow.  Collaboration with our account managers, customer service and operations are essential to provide the best customer experience and grow with existing customers.

Keys to success in this role will be:

  • Can evaluate customer needs and solve with Paper Transport’s service offerings.
  • Establish new relationships and generate revenue.
  • Being a self-starter and results driven is essential.
  • Engaging prospects and discovering the pain points we can solve for to be a valuable partner for them.
  • Continual proactive decision-making ability as well as adaptability.
  • Focusing on economical solutions for the customer and profitability for Paper Transport, allow for an incentive plan with no limit to earn!

Education and experience requirements:

  • 8-10 years of Transportation experience is preferred
  • Prior Account Management/ Senior Account Management or Operations Management experience is a plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Conflict Resolution: Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with others, know how to be persuasive with the ability to stay calm.
  • Computer Expertise: Must be proficient in Microsoft software; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. CRM experience preferred.
