General Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of this role are to recruit, develop, supervise and manage BIM personnel, and the associated processes and standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Delegate workload to and supervise BIM Team Leads, Modelers, Designers, and Coordinators
  • Mentor and train BIM and Engineering personnel on BIM; workflows, software, and procedures
  • Coordinate with BIM and Engineering leadership throughout organization
  • Create and review project specific BIM schedules including communicating timeline and intent to general contractors and other team members
  • Work with Construction Tech on development of new tools and process improvements
  • Participate with Engineering Manager in assessing and filling staff needs
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager in career planning of BIM staff
  • Develop future BIM Team Leads and senior BIM staff
  • Support BIM supervision needs for other regional offices
  • Create and manage BIM training documentation and programs
  • Review and quality control of team members work
  • Ensure team performance with respect to engineering project principles
  • Understand and apply software updates, improvements, new features, ACCO BIM standards, revised workflows, etc.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate and foster collaboration with colleagues and project team members
  • Manage time to meet project schedules, budgets, and deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Position Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Engineering, Technical Drafting or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in BIM modeling with 2 years in a role demonstrating leadership
  • Expert knowledge of BIM workflows, software and execution plans
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, fabrication, and installation
  • Ability and experience speaking in front of large groups of people for presentations and training exercises

Hours:
This is an exempt position from Monday through Friday. In general, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and are determined by the department head.
Competitive Wages:
$107,000 to $150,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
