Only candidates who are permanent in the Administrative Architect title or those who are reachable on the DDC promotional list (exam #6501), or the open-competitive list (exam #6001) may apply. Please indicate a copy of your Notice of Result card or indicate if you are already permanent in the title. If you do not meet the previously mentioned civil service criteria, you will not be considered for an interview.
The Program Manager will work with the Deputy Director of Advanced Capital Planning and the Program Manager of Sponsor Engagement to support the Sponsor agencies in planning their capital needs and address Citywide strategic goals for public buildings, including, but not limited to:
- Building Conditions
- Accessibility
- Coastal and stormwater resiliency
- Energy use reduction and decarbonization
Duties include providing expertise in design and construction and lead a team of experienced technical staff who perform facility assessments of sponsor agency portfolios. Through review of sponsor programmatic needs, operation and maintenance requirements, energy use, and analyses of existing building conditions, selected candidates will develop a comprehensive understanding of the capital needs of each building to advise in the preparation of future funding requests and building lifecycle budget planning. Responsibilities include defining necessary scope in the design and construction of diverse building types, especially older buildings from the 19th and 20th century, leading team(s) conducting in-depth building surveys, identifying deficiencies, and prioritizing funding. Selected candidate will work with a cost estimating team to produce fully itemized facility assessment reports and cost estimates suitable for budget planning purposes.
