Job Description Summary
Responsible for working on multiple complex programs or project work streams. This role is responsible for aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies to support the ECM framework. Additionally, the Sr Program Manager will need to understand the System Development and Maintenance standard within System Development Lifecycle and work closely with Technology Leads. These are key processes to ensure risk is appropriately managed and leads to successful program outcomes.
Major Duties:
1. Focus of role is on execution of a program initiated to deliver a change in the strategic direction of business function activities; expansion of critical business capabilities or implementation of cross business unit regulatory change.
2. Manages implementation of complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
3. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
4. Communication of program objectives; risks; issues and overall status to multiple levels of the organization.
5. Facilitation of cross discipline (business unit) coordination for decision making regarding scope; prioritization and issue resolution.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required as well as experience managing programs in Corporate Shared Services including Finance
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Leadership and organizational skills are required to work with Executives
- Team work skills to drive execution without direct reporting line responsibilities
Experience:
Seasoned expert with extensive technical and business knowledge and functional expertise that has been developed over 15+ years and/or equivalent experience.
Salary Range:
$137,400 - 240,400 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
