Job Summary

TestPros is seeking is seeking a qualified Accessibility Remediation Engineer SME to ensure its websites and mobile applications comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as mandated by the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) 2024 final rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This project aims to improve digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities and align the City’s digital platforms with federal accessibility requirements. 

Position:  Part time (as needed, 1099 or Corp. to Corp)

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship or green card

Location: Remote

Clearance: None required

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute remediation strategies for non-compliant digital content.
  • Collaborate with IT department to create and implement remediation plans.
  • Ensure all web and mobile platforms align with WCAG 2.1 AA and DOJ guidelines.
  • Conduct usability testing post-remediation to validate compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience implementing WCAG-compliant solutions.
  • Proficient in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with a focus on accessibility.
  • Knowledge of best practices for accessible design and content remediation.
  • Strong communication skills for working with diverse teams.
