Presence Multicultural Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a full-time remote position. You will be part of an innovative counseling team, utilizing advanced virtual platforms to deliver effective therapy sessions. Our outpatient office provides a supportive environment for therapists to collaborate and grow, engaging in peer supervision and professional development.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental and emotional health, evaluating needs, issues, and goals to craft tailored treatment plans.
• Offer individual therapy sessions to clients of varying ages, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.
• Facilitate couples therapy, focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthier relationships among partners.
• Regularly review and adapt treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of clients’ progress and evolving needs.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date client records, ensuring precise documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and case histories.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, promoting clients’ overall well-being.
• Prepare to provide crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, ensuring immediate support and guidance.
• Commit to continuous professional development by engaging in training opportunities and staying updated on best practices in marriage and family therapy.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards, advocating for clients’ rights while maintaining strict confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Encourage self-care practices, both personally and for clients, to maintain emotional resilience and avoid burnout.

Your clientele will encompass a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples from varied cultural backgrounds. This diversity enriches the therapeutic process, allowing you to engage in meaningful work that positively impacts individuals and families while addressing a multitude of life experiences and challenges.

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in New Jersey.
• Experience in providing individual and/or couples therapy with a strong understanding of various therapeutic approaches.
• Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults is a plus.
• Strong skills in completing client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans efficiently.

• Experience in teletherapy and proficiency in utilizing digital platforms for remote therapy sessions.
• Knowledge of culturally sensitive practices and the ability to apply them in therapeutic settings.
• Background in crisis intervention strategies and familiarity with community resources for referrals.

The salary range for this position is competitive, reflecting your experience and qualifications, with an annual salary of USD 90,000 to 105,000.
