Job description

Title: Senior MS Access Senior Developer
Location: Birmingham, AL (LOCALS preferred)
C2C
Visa type: USC, GC, H1B
Note: Overall they are looking out for 7+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
• Working with HSIS HR, Financial, and Asset Management personnel to
understand their functional and technical requirements and translate those
needs into labor saving software solutions.
• Maintaining current HSIS personnel and financial reporting applications.
• Maintaining and developing reporting from the HSIS databases residing in
SQL Server via use of SSRS reporting tools.
• Writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices and
coding standards.
• Optimizing application performance through performance tuning and code
optimization techniques.
• Maintaining and developing reporting from SQL Server databases utilizing
SSRS for HR and Financial Access/SQL applications as well as from the
HSIS Cherwell ITSM asset management database.
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience in application software development
with a focus on Microsoft Access development.
• Strong understanding of (MSSQL / ODBC) and proficiency in writing
complex queries and database optimizations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SSMS in maintaining SQL databases.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Visual Basic frameworks, particularly
Microsoft Access VBA.
• General understanding of Accounting and Personnel processes
• Some experience with SSRS reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
