As a Security Officer Access Control in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badge and access control activity, and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating updates according to post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, dock areas, trailer lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Support gatehouse and checkpoint operations by screening incoming and outgoing traffic, confirming scheduled deliveries and pickups, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate access points.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
