SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Our clients are seeking a dedicated Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning needs in a therapeutic day school environment. The school serves K-12 students who require a highly structured educational setting with intensive academic, behavioral, and clinical support services.
CLIENT'S LOCATION
Schools are located in Elgin, IL
DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Provide differentiated and specialized instruction based on student needs and goals.
* Assess academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
* Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
* Maintain a structured, therapeutic classroom environment that promotes student success.
* Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.
* Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and case management activities.
* Foster student growth in academics, social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Holds a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
* Has experience working with students with emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities.
* Demonstrates strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
* Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
* Is committed to creating positive educational outcomes for students with complex needs
