Job description

Position Summary:

The Director of the Project Management Office leads Encore's project management function, project governance framework, project execution standards, and delivery discipline across service delivery initiatives.


This role ensures projects are planned, governed, executed, monitored, reported, and closed consistently while providing leadership, development, and oversight for project managers supporting Encore's service organization.


The Director of PMO works closely with Client Success, Service Operations, service delivery teams, finance, sales, and presales to ensure successful project outcomes, appropriate resource visibility, effective risk management, consistent stakeholder communication, and disciplined execution from initiation through closure.


Responsibilities:

ยท Lead and develop the Project Management Office and establish project management standards, methodologies, and governance practices.

ยท Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for project managers.

ยท Establish project intake, planning, execution, reporting, risk management, escalation, and closure standards.

ยท Ensure projects maintain appropriate visibility into scope, schedule, resources, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

ยท Conduct project health reviews and provide leadership visibility into project performance and execution risks.

ยท Partner with service delivery teams to align project activities with operational capacity and delivery objectives.

ยท Ensure project managers maintain consistent communication with clients, internal stakeholders, and leadership teams.

ยท Improve project reporting, execution consistency, governance effectiveness, and delivery predictability.

ยท Support resource planning initiatives through project forecasting, project demand visibility, and portfolio management activities.

ยท Drive accountability for project outcomes, governance compliance, and delivery execution standards.

ยท Partner with Service Operations to ensure sales-to-delivery handoffs, project setup, delivery records, administrative workflows, and project readiness activities are coordinated and consistently executed.

ยท Partner with Client Success on project-related client governance, communication, risk visibility, stakeholder alignment, and project-to-service transition needs.

ยท Support financial and operational readiness by ensuring project information, milestones, status, risks, and delivery inputs are accurate, timely, and visible to appropriate stakeholders.

ยท Identify opportunities for project management process improvement and maturity advancement.

ยท Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

ยท Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

ยท PMP certification required.

ยท Proven leadership experience managing project managers, PMOs, or project delivery organizations.

ยท Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, resource planning, and portfolio management.

ยท Experience working closely with sales, pre-sales, delivery, finance, operations, and client-facing organizations.

ยท Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional delivery teams.

ยท Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
