Position Overview

Accent Care Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in White Plains, New York. Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience while maintaining a high standard of care through our Outpatient Office structure. Regular virtual meetings and training ensure that all team members remain aligned and informed about best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify client concerns, defining clinical diagnoses to inform treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based techniques, adjusting approaches as necessary to meet the unique goals of clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention support for clients undergoing acute mental health challenges, ensuring immediate and effective care.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Educate clients and families on mental health topics and available community resources while advocating for clients' rights and needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and workshops, ensuring that therapy techniques remain current and effective.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our aim is to provide compassionate care tailored to each client's unique life experiences and circumstances, fostering a safe space for healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • Must be a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) in New York State.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment capabilities with a well-rounded understanding of diagnostic frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also provide a sign-on bonus to support your transition into our team. Additional benefits include:
