Job description

St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our established, physician-led cancer program serving the Capital Region. This is a high-volume, technologically advanced opportunity to deliver patient-centered care within a collaborative and growing oncology network, working closely with medical oncology services across the Capital Region.

Position Details

  • Monday–Friday schedule with shared 1:4 call rotation (weeknights/weekends)
  • Treat adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings alongside a collaborative team of 4 Radiation Oncologists
  • Clinical focus includes GYN, prostate, breast, and lung cases with a robust and diverse patient mix
  • High-volume practice serving two acute care facilities
  • Participate in consults, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards
  • Advanced technology readily available:
    • TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
    • Silhouette Linear Accelerator
    • Siemens CT simulator
    • Varian ARIA v. 16.0 integrated with EPIC EMR
    • Nuclear Trion HDR Unit (Nucletron)
    • Eclipse Treatment Planning System
    • MIM Treatment Planning and Contouring
    • iplan Treatment Planning for cranial cases
    • Exac Trac- patient positioning
    • Vision RT- patient positioning, DIBH

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Established referral network with strong volume
  • Opportunity to perform and expand GYN brachytherapy (training available)
  • Strong, established stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body program
  • Affiliated with NRG research network and supported by a robust physics team (including residency program with 2 medical physicist residents)
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary oncology team including medical and surgical oncology

Qualifications: 

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
  • Willingness to perform brachytherapy is preferred
  • Eligible for New York State medical licensure
  • DEA eligibility required
  • New grads encouraged to apply
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, and hungry for a busy practice environment

Recruitment Package:

  • Base Salary: $470,000-$535,000 with the ability to earn more through productivity
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. 
  • Starting Bonus: $50,000
  • Retention of 2 years: $25,000
  • Relocation assistance: Up to $20k
