Position Overview

Riverwoods Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our innovative team, focusing on transforming lives through accessible mental healthcare. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough ongoing assessments to formulate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of patients.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with supervisors, direct care staff, families, and other relevant parties to monitor and discuss individual progress.
  • Provide supervisors with a tentative schedule detailing appointments, home visits, and observations necessary for consistent monitoring of patient development and intervention effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and complete home visits to conduct in-home assessments, review patient charts, interview staff, and analyze relevant data.
  • Ensure that the implementation of each patientโ€™s program plan is conducted effectively, providing oversight and necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, contributing insights and collaborating on patient care strategies.
  • Document progress and evaluations in monthly and quarterly progress notes to maintain comprehensive records for patient care.
  • Organize training sessions to ensure that team members are well-equipped in implementing program plans and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support through follow-up interviews, home visits, and direct observations tailored to individual needs.
  • Act as a liaison with the public and other mental health professionals to foster collaborative support for developmental goals.
  • Assist in developing training procedures and materials aimed at optimizing treatment programs for patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse range of clients, including both youth and adults. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will engage with individuals facing various mental health challenges, comorbid conditions, and behavioral issues, with a focus on providing empathetic and effective counseling tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon.
