Job Summary
Peer Academic Coaches serve as student leaders within the Center for Academic Success and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their peers' college experience. In this role, coaches meet with students one-on-one to discuss time management, goal setting, note taking, and test-taking strategies. They serve as a role model to their peers and assist students with acclimating to college life and building academic confidence.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • UWG Student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours as an undergraduate at UWG
  • Open to second-semester freshman through seniors (first-semester freshman are not eligible)

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting with periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasional movement around campus for outreach or events may be required.

  • Experience working in a helping setting.
  • Knowledge of UWG resources.
  • Good overall academic ability.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism.
