Job description

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Tacker to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. Epic takes pride in our quality of work and has a goal of building our workforce with the most talented employees.  You'll have an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects on a national and global scale. We can meet you at any skill level, whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience under your belt.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Perform welding duties using a wire welder. 
  • Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions. 
  • Set-up, lay out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finish products. 
  • Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts. 
  • Operate forklifts, hoist, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications. 
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders. 
  • Cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position. 
  • Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department. 
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.  

 
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Education:  High School Diploma or GED; preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 Years' Experience in field or related area
  • Computer Skills:  Not applicable
  • Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
