Overview
The Temporary Project Expert works directly with the Consortium Manager with the day-to-day coordination, compliance, and promotion of our regional adult education initiatives. In this role, you will act as a technical liaison across our member adult schools and community college partners, helping ensure our operations meet state CAEP and AB 104 requirements. The right candidate has a background in supporting staff in tracking program budgets, summarizing student data reports, setting up collaborative workshops, and developing basic marketing and promotional materials for our community and industry partners.
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's Degree AND two (2) years of highly relevant experience in project coordination, compliance monitoring, or data analysis within an educational or public agency setting, preferably within California community colleges, K-12 adult schools, or workforce development boards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists the Manager in updating and monitoring progress on the Three-Year Adult Education Regional Consortium Plan and related regional milestones.
- Researches, compiles, and analyzes program data and assists with the preparation of technical reports for state and local submission.
- Supports the manager and fiscal staff in monitoring the consortium budget and ensuring all activities comply with Assembly Bill (AB) 104 and CAEP state requirements.
- Assists in the planning and coordination of regional professional development activities for faculty and staff, with a specific focus on equity practices and DEISAA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Social Justice, Anti-Racism, and Accessibility).
- Coordinates the development of marketing strategies and promotional materials to represent the consortium's services to the community and industry partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an educational institution, including community college, K-12 or K12 adult school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a complex organizational environment.

Working Environment:
Incumbents work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Incumbents may occasionally work outdoors for assigned events and be exposed to loud noise levels, cold and/or hot temperatures, and dust, fumes, and allergens. Incumbents may interact with staff, students, and/or the public in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle to visit various College and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Incumbents in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information.
