Job Description We are seeking a full-time Title Abstractor with experience in oil and gas title work to support our client's growing needs. The role involves conducting in-house abstracting for select projects, assisting with recording projects, and providing support in managing title workflow coordination. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying common files, helping with workflow assignments, and ensuring efficient title review processes.
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire Work Schedule: Training will be on-side, hybrid schedule following training Hourly Rate: $24-$28/hour based on experience Benefits: Once hired on full-time, this role will have an annual base salary + bonus, full benefits package, PTO and a 401k plan Key Responsibilities: Conduct oil and gas title abstracting, including research and examination of property records. Assist in recording projects, ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed. Support title workflow coordination, identifying common files and organizing workflow assignments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date title records. Communicate effectively with attorneys, landmen, and other team members. Perform additional title-related tasks as needed to support the firm's operations.
Qualifications: Experience in oil and gas title abstracting (PA, WV, and OH experience preferred). Familiarity with title examination, chain of title research, and mineral rights. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in title software or land management systems is a plus.
