Wayne State University is searching for an experienced​Enrollment Management Coordinator - Enrollment Management Services, School of Medicineat its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

Job Purpose:

This position serves as a point of contact for prospective and matriculating students into to the medical education program. The incumbent will assist students, parents, and others in the community by providing instructions and information, clarifying outstanding admissions, financial aid and registration requirements, and assisting students with building relationships with other campus personnel. Coordinate and participate in a variety of recruitment activities.

Essential Functions:

Serve as point of contact for prospective and matriculating students, parents and others by providing instructions and information related to admissions, financial aid and registration requirements.

Enter and manage data using various technical resources including the university's customer relationship management (CRM) software. Create reports and databases to document performance and provide statistical analysis of outcomes in comparison to divisional goals for increasing enrollment and retention as well as monitoring cost benefits and effectiveness of activities performed.

Collaborate with other Enrollment Management units to coordinate the implementation and evaluation of communications, outreach, registration, and graduation activities. Adapt work to model best practices in recruiting, yielding, enrolling, and analyzing effectiveness and outcomes in assigned market segments. Lead workgroups related to mission.

Develop and monitor reports to: identify trends and behavioral drivers, develop growth strategies, forecast performance goals, and analyze results to inform outreach activities. Provide updates and report analysis to senior managers in the various Enrollment Services units.

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of university resources as well as effective working relationships with staff in the Enrollment Management units. Model best practices in recruiting, yielding, enrolling and retaining students.

Assist with the coordination and participate in outreach events including calling campaigns, mailings, and on-campus programs including Second look day, Financial Aid Workshops, and Orientation. Coordinate outgoing calling campaigns to follow up with admission offers, scholarship offers, outstanding registration requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Unique duties:

Coordinate the Student Leave of Absence Process at the School of Medicine. Chair the weekly Leave of Absence Meetings to ensure Federal Enrollment Reporting and Financial Aid Regulation deadlines are met. Coordinate Admissions Webinars in Teams/Zoom. Assist in the scheduling/coverage of the Student Service Center.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Clear verbal and written abilities, with effective interpersonal and customer service skills. Comfortable in communicating with prospective students, parents, school administrators, and counselors in person and by telephone and email. Effective public speaker with informative and persuasive speaking skills. Excel in formulating clear and concise email messages. Demonstrated ability to create outreach messages that help achieve yield goals.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Ability to compare, contrast and quality check work with a keen attention to detail. Strong analytical skills including: critical thinking and problem solving skills. Proficient with standard office tools (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation creation), research abilities to find relevant materials using online search tools, and database management systems.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Able to effectively manage multiple priorities to accomplish required productivity goals. Capable of using CRM to maintain documentation of outreach activities and results.

TEAMBUILDING: Capable of identifying and collaborating with key university stakeholders, providing initial communication of relevant issues to team, then monitoring progress of further development. Demonstrated capability of working as an integral member of a goal-oriented, data-driven enrollment management team.

RESULTS FOCUS: Emphasize activities that lead to effective results focused on established goals in market segments to meet University enrollment and retention goals. Use data-driven decision making model to assess effectiveness, analyze results, and shape future projects. Seek out additional opportunities for the outreach program and its partners that may deliver further results.

TECHNOLOGY: Proficient in using technology to develop, implement, track and analyze programs designed to maximize outreach efforts using student information systems (Banner, Datatel, or PeopleSoft), CRM functionality and other tools as necessary. Demonstrated ability to aggregate and analyze data to evaluate outcomes towards set performance goals. Experience with database query and table design.

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE: Extensive working knowledge of up-to-date Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Records and Registration processes.
