*********We are hiring both LEAD TEACHERS and TEACHERS ASSISTANTS *********

*********The following job summary is for LEAD TEACHERS. TEACHERS ASSISTANTS are highly valued team members and will be developped to become LEAD TEACHERS in the future if they wish so. ********

Job Summary: To supervise teachers assistants and the children in your room, ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Supervise children at all times maintaining a secure, safe environment for children to play and learn in.

· Supervise and train assistants in your room on procedures and regulations.

· Prepare and implement lesson plans.

· Prepare supply list and have it done by due date

· Attend staff meetings outside of work hours.

· Give positive feedback to parents. No negative feedback to be given unless authorized by the Director.

· Prepare progress reports in accordance with the ABEKA manual.

· Prepare Ages and Stages (ASQ’s) reports on children whose parents have given permission on.

· Adhere to proceedings and regulations with the Department of Children and Families. (aka DCF)

· Change diapers / toilet train children where necessary.

· Always comply with the presentation requirements set by the company.

· Attend ongoing training to keep education and regulations up to date.

· Any other duties required by the position.

· From time-to-time, this position may require over-time, evening, and weekend hours.

Qualifications*

· 45 state mandated training hours

· Child Development Associate or higher level education

· If previously worked in childcare, state mandated annual in-service training hours must be up-to-date

· First Aid/CPR certification

· CDL driver’s license

· No pending or past arrest record

· Reliable transportation
