We are currently seeking qualified applicants to join our team as a Commercial Credit Analyst III in the Colorado Springs, CO market.
About the Role: A successful Commercial Credit Analyst III possesses a keen attention to detail and professional communication skills. This role requires analyzing credit data and financial statements to determine the risk involved in extending credit or lending money. As a Credit Analyst III, you will work closely with lenders and other analysts, using judgment and creative problem-solving to provide accurate, factual, and polished reports to guide decision-making.
Primary Job Functions:
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess the risk in extending credit or lending money for both existing and potential borrowers.
  • Prepare clear, factual, and comprehensive written reports summarizing the degree of risk involved in credit decisions.
  • Review financial data such as income growth, quality of management, and expected profitability of loans.
  • Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with industry peers in similar geographical locations.
  • Evaluate customer financial records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings, payment history, and purchase activity.
  • Able to assist other analysts with Credit Analysis and Loan Structure when needed.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and credit analyst development programs.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Plan, develop, and provide training and credit analyst development programs, using knowledge and the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops.
  2. Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and development classes for credit analysts.
  3. Conduct orientation sessions and on-the-job training for credit analysts.
  4. Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
  5. Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  6. Develop and organize training manuals, visual aids, and other education materials.
  7. Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  8. Complete loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval.
  9. Analyze financial data such as income growth and quality of management to determine expected profitability of loans.
  10. Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  11. Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
  12. Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor / management.
  14. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
  15. Adhere to all relevant security responsibilities as outlined in the Bank's Information Security Program and Written Security Program.
