CAPA Specialist - Corrective and Preventive Action Specialist
ABBOTT Nutrition site in Casa Grande, Arizona is seeing a CAPA Specialist.
The CAPA Specialist is responsible for leading and executing investigations related to non-conformance and manufacturing deviations. This role ensures timely and compliant development of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), driving root cause analysis, risk assessment, and sustainable solutions to support product quality and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Work On
  • Generate and maintain CAPA documentation, including non-conformance and investigation reports for routine and non-routine manufacturing issues.
  • Independently lead investigations to determine root cause, product impact, and risk, and define appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Utilize technical documentation (e.g., design history files, specifications, test methods, quality policies, and factory/field data) to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Operations, and Procurement to develop and implement effective CAPA solutions.
  • Facilitate meetings and drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of investigation outcomes.
  • Manage multiple CAPA projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and compliance requirements.
  • Track and trend CAPA data to identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to process and product improvements through active participation in CAPA program enhancements.
  • Support the development, revision, and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and related documentation.

You'll be accountable to meet our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • 1 year of work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of CAPA experience within a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years of experience in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, cGMP)
