This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division.

The Quality Technician I provides technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative
actions. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve manufacturing processes.

What You'll Work On

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Assists engineering in providing manufacturing support by training operators on processes and engineering changes, and performing operator certification on-the-job training and testing.
  • Develops knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Learns process improvement techniques by assisting Engineering in researching and validating changes inprocesses/equipment and test methods to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time per established procedures.
  • Learns traceability and inspection requirements, learns statistical process control criteria, Learns how to develop manufacturing instructions, and create training sheets and certifications.
  • May also train operators on basic processes and engineering changes, and perform operator certification on-the-jobtraining and testing.
  • Assists Engineers in collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing and recording data, and by writing procedures.
  • May keep lab notebook.

Second Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 - 11:30PM

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Applies knowledge of basic technical concepts and practices and a basicunderstanding of product or systems fundamentals.
  • Utilizes basic knowledge of numericaland/or statistical data and computer software programs to resolve routine problems.
  • Willperform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform taskscan result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
  • Performs routine technical tasks working from detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Performs routine set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of certain area specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.
