Job description

Advanced Practice Practitioner

The Advanced Practice Practitioner performs clinical, technical and patient-related functions. This individual must have excellent technical, interpersonal and customer service skills, be aware and responsive to the psychosocial needs of patients and their families.

Education Required: Graduate of an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program. Master's Degree required.

Experience Required: Minimum of one-year primary care experience along with laceration experience, and geriatrics preferred.

Credential/Licensure Required: Current licensure in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse. Current certification from a national certifying body approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing for Nurse Practitioners required, or graduate of an AAPA accredited program. Current certification as an advanced prescriber. Valid Wisconsin's Driver's license. Current CPR certification. PALS and ACLS certification strongly encouraged.
