Job description

Armed ACT 235 Certified Security Officer | Part-Time

Armed Security Officer (ACT 235 Certified)

Location: Allentown

Schedule: Open availability required | Part-Time | to be determined

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a professional ACT 235 Certified Armed Security Officer to provide coverage in the Allentown area. This position averages 24 hours per week (Monday–Friday) with the opportunity for additional hours through armed ATM coverage assignments, potentially reaching up to 40 hours per week when needed.

This role offers consistent weekday work with no shifts extending past 4pm for standard coverage.

Schedule & Hours

Primary Assignment:

  • Monday–Friday
  • Averaging 24 hours per week
  • Multiple varying shifts (never past 4pm for standard coverage)
  • Guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours pay per day, regardless of early completion

Additional Assignment (As Needed):

  • Armed ATM security coverage
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8pm–12am extended coverage hours
  • Provides opportunity to increase weekly hours up to 40
Requirements
  • Valid ACT 235 Certification (Pennsylvania)
  • Prior armed security experience
  • Must possess own firearm
  • Must have proper holster and duty gear
  • Professional demeanor and reliability
  • Ability to work flexible weekday shifts
Responsibilities
  • Provide armed security coverage at designated sites
  • Maintain high visibility and deterrence presence
  • Ensure safety of personnel, property, and assets
  • Cover ATM security details when scheduled
  • Complete required reports and documentation
Compensation
  • Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
  • Guaranteed minimum four-hour daily pay
