AsLead, Enterprise Risk Management, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling Scout Motors' enterprise-wide risk management program. The role also supports the development and maturation of the Internal Control System, ensuring that key enterprise and operational risks are mitigated through effective, riskbased controls embedded in business processes. Reporting to the Chief Integrity & Compliance Officer, this role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and supports informed decisionmaking, organizational resilience, and sustainable growth.Â

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):Â
- Design and lead the phased implementation of an enterprise-wide ERM framework aligned with strategy, growth objectives, and the organization's risk profile.Â
- Establish clear risk governance, including defined roles, escalation pathways, and risk oversight structures.Â
- Support the development and articulation of a formal risk appetite and tolerance framework.Â
- Partner crossfunctionally to identify, assess, and prioritize key enterprise risks and embed risk considerations into strategic planning and major initiatives.Â
- Ensure that agreed risk mitigation actions are actively monitored, implemented, and embedded in business decisionmaking. Â
- Act as a commercially minded partner to the business, supporting entrepreneurial risktaking within the agreed risk appetite.Â
- Develop concise, forwardlooking risk reporting for the Scout Management Board while managing regular risk reporting obligations to Scout's parent company.Â
Internal Control System SupportÂ
- Support the design and ongoing development of a riskdriven Internal Control System (ICS) aligned to enterprise and operational risks.Â
- Help link key risks to control objectives and support the identification and design of proportionate, effective controls.Â
- Collaborate with firstline functions to embed internal controls into core business processes and systems.Â
- Partner with Integrity & Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit to support riskbased control assessment, monitoring, and remediation.Â
- Provide integrated insight into changes in risk exposure and control effectiveness.Â
Risk Culture & IntegrationÂ
- Promote a strong risk and control culture that emphasizes accountability and management ownership.Â
- Drive consistent risk and control language, tools, and understanding across the organization.Â
- Ensure alignment and coordination between ERM, ICS, compliance programs, and audit activities.Â
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.Â
- This role requires 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.Â
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Required Qualifications & ExperienceÂ
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal controls, internal audit, compliance, finance, or a related field.Â
- Proven experience designing and implementing ERM frameworks and/or supporting Internal Control Systems in complex or growing organizations.Â
- Strong understanding of the linkage between enterprise risk, operational risk, and internal controls.Â
- Experience engaging senior executives and Boards on risk-related matters.Â
Preferred ExperienceÂ
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, mobility, or other operationally complex and regulated industries.Â
- Experience working in multinational or matrixed environments.Â
- Practical familiarity with frameworks such as COSO ERM and COSO Internal Control.Â
- Experience supporting organizations through rapid growth, transformation, or governance maturation.Â

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
