Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near Hopkins, MN. This full-time, onsite position is perfect for skilled professionals eager to make a positive impact throughout the 2026-2027 school year, from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Bring your expertise as an SLP or SLPA to help students succeed by delivering high-quality speech-language interventions and collaborating on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), with appropriate credentials for school-based practice.
  • Previous experience in an educational environment (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families.
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes, special education compliance, and relevant documentation.
  • Ability to work independently within a team framework and prioritize caseload effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct IEP speech and language services for students as identified in their Individualized Education Programs.
  • Accurately document "SLP" relevant information on IEPs and student records.
  • Complete SLP-specific portions of evaluations and assessments to guide educational planning.
  • Write clear, comprehensive progress reports tailored to each student's goals and achievements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support holistic student development.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and school district policies.
