Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where you'll play a key role in supporting students' communication development. This Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position offers a dynamic work environment close to Anoka, MN, where every day brings the chance to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with certified Speech-Language Pathologists to carry out treatment plans, facilitate small group and individual sessions, and help students achieve their communication goals. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLPA licensure recognized in Minnesota
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Organizational skills to effectively track and document student progress
  • Compassion and enthusiasm for working with children
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans
  • Conduct or support therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Encourage student participation and engagement during speech-language activities
  • Track and record students' progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate with teachers and staff regarding students' progress and needs
  • Prepare materials for activities and support logistics for therapy sessions
