About the Role

Join R&R Solutions as a seasonal IT Hardware Installation Technician specializing in commercial desktop and peripheral rollouts. This role is ideal for technical problem-solvers who enjoy travel, autonomy, and hands-on deployment projects. Compensation is paid on a per-site-completed basis, rewarding your technical efficiency and quality of work. We provide a hotel allowance, per diem, and a company vehicle to get you safely to our client locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment: Accurately unbox, place, and install PCs, thin clients, printers, and associated peripherals according to strict client layout specifications.

  • Cable Management & Setup: Connect all power and data cables cleanly and safely, ensuring workstations are organized and free of trip hazards.

  • Basic Configuration & Testing: Power on devices, verify basic network connectivity, map printers, and ensure the hardware is fully operational for the end-user.

  • Documentation & Safety: Maintain precise inventory logs, complete daily deployment reports, and strictly adhere to all company vehicle safety and defensive driving policies while operating company vans.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT Field Technician, Desktop Support Technician, or in large-scale hardware deployments.

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (must meet insurance requirements for company-owned hi-top vans).

  • Strong commitment to road safety, vehicle care, and responsible driving.

  • Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs, thin clients, and network printers.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent cable management skills, and a professional, customer-focused demeanor.

  • High school diploma or GED.
