Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:ย 

  • Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations as a Payroll Specialistย 
  • Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligationsย 
  • Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulationsย 
  • Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy as a Payroll Specialistย 
  • Collaborate effectively with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to maintain system integrity and ensure compliance during payroll setup and updatesย 
  • Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to team members, facilitating local training sessions as needed to enhance team skills and knowledgeย 
  • Oversee and manage salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and payroll accounting, including the processing of final checks for both voluntary and involuntary employee separationsย 
  • Other duties as assignedย 
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:ย 

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:ย 

  • College Degree
  • Experience with UKG or Kronos Timekeeping Systemย
