XL Pro Staffing and Consulting is NOW HIRING for a Payroll Specialist!

Location: Austin, TX | In-office 3–4 days per week
Pay Rate: $28.85–$31.25 per hour (Resume Required)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and supporting payroll-related activities for both hourly and salaried employee populations. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll administration experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing and payroll support activities.
  • Review and audit employee timecards for accuracy.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Process employee payroll changes, deductions, garnishments, and final pays.
  • Support payroll reporting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll compliance activities and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
  • Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong payroll processing experience, including end-to-end payroll administration.
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
  • Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment preferred.
  • Experience working for a public company is a plus.
  • UKG Pro and/or UKG Workforce Management (WFM) experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to research and resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
